Why do you have to make a twinning with Ploeuc sur Lié?

A POTATOES PRODUCTION :

We produce our own patatoes’ type : the BF15 and we are proud of that. In the region, we are known for these potatoes. As Japan is known for being the Land of the rising sun, Ploeuc is known for being the city of the potatoes. Indeed we can see this notion on our road sign.

But our pride doesn’t stop there : all the three years we have a party exclusively for the BF15. And our fest is popular, because in 2008 for example, 30 000 visitors came to Ploeuc sur lié to participate to it. The goal is for people to discover the potatoes’ farming. We can taste recipes with potatoes, there are games, it is also possible to visit a farm, where we can learn how potates are produced, picked, selected…
But since 2005, our potatoes internationalized it. There are cooperation between Ploeuc sur Lié and Poland and Romania. BF15’s seedling are sent to these two countries.

A BIG STAR :

We have also in our commune Julie Bresset. Bresset is the family, which take care of the cross country association, as I said earlier, but that is not all : she was also Olympic Champion of cross country in 2012 and then World Champion.
